At Quality Equipment, there are opportunities to grow and advance in your career.We are currently looking for an Irrigation Parts lead and Service Writer to join us in our Clinton store.Parts Lead duties:PURPOSEManages parts operations within the dealership to provide the highest level of external and internal customer satisfaction whilemaximizing return on investment through parts sales, inventory control, and expense control. Optimizes Parts Departmentprocesses.BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES? Assists with counter sales to support customer needs? Maintains an accurate and effective parts inventory control system that includes a perpetual and/or annual physicalinventory and proper counter procedures? Maintains and reviews monthly parts reports? Develops, communicates, enforces and monitors effective Parts Department processes to ensure internal and externalcustomer satisfaction? Promotes and merchandises parts and accessories? Executes Parts Department marketing plan and monitors monthly to ensure achievement of departmental goals? Maintains all departmental tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working order? Submits parts warranty claims and parts return claims to the Central Warranty Administrator within the required time frameto receive maximum credits allowed? Executes annual Parts Department goals and budget, in alignment with the organization’s financial and operational objectives? Performs other managerial duties, as required, and location functionality duties, as needed? Always conducts self so as to be an ambassador of the dealershipService Writer duties:PURPOSECoordinates customer’s equipment repairs. Assists the Service Manager in maintaining accurate and on-time reports and recordsrelative to the Service Department’s operation within the dealership.BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES? Fields internal and external customer inquiries for the Service Department? Opens work orders maintains control until they are closed and invoiced? Updates customer profiles using equipment, hours, or other information from the customer work orders? Maintains service accessories and supplies and prepares replacement orders when necessary? Prepares warranty and/or product improvement for submission by the Central Warranty Administrator? Assists customers with mower or equipment loading/unloading when necessary.? Performs other functions or duties as directed by management in-line with the objectives of the dealership.? Close and process RO’s for payment when needed? Assist technicians and provides part service including parts lookup, pulling parts from parts stock and processing MD orders(where applicable)? Assists on the parts counter when necessary? Assists with loading/unloading trucks when necessary (where applicable)? Acts as an ambassador for the dealership and protects the positive dealership image, while promoting customer loyalty andgoodwillEXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS? 2+ year experience in Parts Department operations? Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions? Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups? Excellent customer service skills required? Basic understanding of financial principles relative to Parts Department operations? Basic knowledge of accounting practices & office procedures? General understanding of mechanical/technical terms is preferred.? Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports? Solid work ethic and reliability? Strong organizational skills and leadership abilities? High school diploma or equivalent experience.? Ability to operate forkliftPHYSICAL DEMANDS? Noise Levels: High.? Weight Requirements: Lifting up to 50 lbs.? Mobility: Standing and sitting for long durations.? Visual: Working with PC, manuals, and close detailed work.? Driving: Daily – short and long distances.? Respiratory: Possible exposure to exhaust and dust fumes.?
