SAIC is seeking a Web Developer to support our efforts at the Army Game Studio in Huntsville, AL. In this position, the Web Developer will be responsible for design, development and maintenance of software applications, autonomous services, web applications and services, scripts, and utility programs. The developer will determine user needs, programming techniques, prepare operating instructions and will ensure that the development meets required software standards and security compliance.
Job Description:
The qualified candidate will:
Contribute creatively to the application design and development process, from prototype to delivery
Develop and test code, fix bugs, profile, and optimize code
Follow best practices, development processes, and coding standards
Document and peer review technical designs with other software engineers
Write efficient code with descriptive comments and maintain attention to detail
Take ownership of work as a highly motivated self-starter
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of work experience; four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
Required Clearance:
Candidate must be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance.
Required Skills:
Demonstrated experience and proficiency using SQL Server, JavaScript, HTML, Python, PHP and other languages.
Experience with version control software (Perforce, Git, etc.)
Demonstrated experience with Databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, etc.)
Demonstrated experience with AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, etc.) in a development and production environment
Desired Skills:
Experience with the life cycle of design and programming of training content from concept through project completion
Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment
