SR AD, IT US AH Delivery Excellence role:

Key Interface: The Business Consultant is the key interface with various internal and external stakeholders and leads the identification and resolution of complex and critical business challenges.

Cross-functional and cross-process support: The Lead Business Consultant supports local and global-strategic partners by considering their cross-functional and cross-process requirements and understands how Boehringer Ingelheim and other organizational units are coordinated.

Consultancy skillset and capabilities: The Lead Business Consultant demonstrates a deep consultancy skillset in various activities related to Strategy & Architecture, Relationship Management, Project/Program Managements and Service Delivery. The Lead Business Consultant also has excellent problem-solving capabilities, solution-oriented working behavior, and confident appearance in strategic and uncertain environments.

Development Programs: The Business Consultant will drive the various talent development programs ensuring a strategic pipeline of talents.

Program Management: The Business Consultant will manage various programs and governance of program processes

This role is based in our Duluth, Ga office with hybrid on site flexibility. 2-3 days per week.

Duties & Responsibilities

Business Consultancy: Consistently adopts a leadership role in influencing IT-related business decisions through a sustained and direct engagement of partners at all levels in multiple business domains. Demonstrates a deep understanding of multiple business domains, including all business processes, and the interactions between these business domains. Consistently brings value to the business through an acknowledged recognition of business needs and corresponding IT solutions in multiple business domains. Communicates with clients in business terms. Independently proposes new and improved complex business processes, creating opportunities for innovation. Addresses all other aspects of the IT Business Partnering Business Consultancy role.

Project Management: Independently plans, organizes, oversees internal resources, and manages external resources to achieve the goals and objectives of multiple large projects. Addresses all other aspects of the IT Business Partnering Project Manager role.

Demand Management: Leads a liaison function between the business and all providers of technical services. In close partnership with all business stakeholders, consistently influences, matches, and independently prioritizes complex demands on multiple IT services to maximize value to the business. Addresses all other aspects of the IT Business Partnering Demand Management role.

Domain Architecture

Pr ogram Management: Leads large Programs. Influences in all other aspects of the IT Business Partnering Program Management role.

Governance Management: Contributes to design of governance processes and ensures implementation of such processes within projects and programs.

Development Programs Lead for IT ensuring a robust talent pipeline.

The person in this role will be responsible for managing a team of 5+ employees.

Requirements

Bachelor / master’s degree (or equivalent); progressive IT and business experience of 7-12 years is preferred.

Strong business process knowledge, and a demonstrated capability to apply technology solutions in addressing complex business issues.

Experience managing consultant resources and external creative and technical personnel in a fast-paced and complex project environment.

Previous experience managing business priorities and projects across multiple business areas.

Demonstrated project management capability based on the successful completion of large projects in multiple business areas.

Demonstrated capability to develop, maintain, apply, and influence through a business, data, application, and technical architecture within a functional domain.

Strong communication skills, and strong relationship development and management capabilities.

Experience line managing a medium-sized team of IT or business-related professionals (4-9) is preferred.

Strong foundation in and a thorough understanding of 1) methodologies for design, development &implementation 2) Project Implementation 3) validation and regulatory. Informed on current and new technologies & their applicability to the business.
