They construct and magnify stories and messages to help and inspire people through running, across advertising, media, brand strategy, creative materials, video, photography, race broadcasts, editorial, brand presentations, and multiple web and digital platforms. They connect with the world's best athletes and ambassadors to deepen NYRR's mission. They leverage channels ranging from international broadcasts to screens at our NYRR RUNCENTER, individual emails to mass media, and from digital journeys to race day signage. The Marketing and Communications team connects NYRR's initiatives and innovations to the hearts and minds of our community, inspiring them to run for life.The NYRR Broadcast Team oversees the production and distribution of all NYRR event broadcasts and livestreams, including the nationally televised TCS New York City Marathon and New Balance 5th Avenue Mile. Additionally, the team serves as the primary liaison between NYRR and its broadcast partners and production companies, manages the licensing of footage and access to all NYRR events and programs, and produces video content for external parties, including partners, media, and rights holders.About the PositionThe position leads the development and execution for the broadcast production of NYRR’s events and programs. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the live production process and the ability to elevate NYRR’s messaging and branding across multiple platforms.Job Responsibilities (primary and secondary duties) :Broadcast Operations & Production+ Lead production of live broadcasts, feeds, and pre-produced features for the TCS New York City Marathon, United Airlines NYC Half, New Balance Fifth Avenue Mile, Abbott Dash to the Finish Line 5K, and Mastercard New York Mini 10K.+ Supervise content capture at NYRR events and coordination with cross-functional teams for broadcast deliverables.+ Manage relationships with production companies, and local, national and international broadcast partners and rights holders, liaising between internal marketing, strategic partnerships, and event teams.+ Manage and initiate content development and segment production for broadcast partners’ sales projects and live program integrations.+ Oversee streaming and A/V for NYRR experiential events and spaces, including Media Centers, the TCSNYCM Pavilion, NYRR Night of Champions, and Marathon Opening Ceremony.+ Onboard and manage broadcast production, stats, spotting, and editorial event staff.+ Work with talent prior to and during live broadcasts for on-camera and voice over material, helping develop their on-air presence, concentrating on factual accuracy and storytelling.+ Manage production teams in the daily planning and execution of all assigned programs and/or projects.+ Collaborate with strategic partnership team to ideate, present and execute new opportunities for sponsor integrations, and ensure partner integration across all contracted assets are met.+ Coordinate production and approvals for NYRR Official Licensee content capture and distribution and manage photo and video licensing requests.+ Effectively manage employee performance.+ Create goals for the team and individual employees.+ Delegate and distribute tasks and responsibilities appropriately.+ Line produce, stage manage, and/or direct live event programming as needed.+ Oversee department budgeting and expenses.+ Manage Production Lead, Seasonal Broadcast Producer, and Marquee event broadcast production staff, including PAs, Production Managers, Bike Spotters, and Race Experts.+ Promote team culture that coincides with NYRR mission and core values.Job Requirements:Experience:+ 5+ years of relevant experience+ Experience managing large-scale production broadcast crews and companies+ Experience in live broadcast, television production, or related field at a sports property required.+ Ability to work in high-paced environment+ Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detail+ Ability to meet and perform under tight deadlines, think clearly under pressure, and exercise good judgment+ Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects+ Excellent organization and communication skills+ Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook),+ Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator) experience a plusSalary: 85-90KNYRR requires all employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19 unless approved for a medical or religious exemption.
