Marketing Manager Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and highly creative Marketing Manager to lead our marketing efforts for our resort property. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and executing the ownership’s marketing strategy, managing the brand across various channels, and ensuring the successful implementation of digital marketing initiatives.

Pay Range: $85,000 - $95,000 plus bonus eligibility

Team Management and Leadership:

Lead marketing team to ensure goals are metFoster a collaborative and innovative team culture, promoting professional development and skill enhancementAttend leadership and sales meetings, actively contributing to cross-functional collaborationAs needed, periodically work with regional marketing teams to share proven marketing tactics and optimization strategies that have driven success at the property. Collaborate on developing and executing regional campaigns and initiatives to drive broader brand awareness and engagement across properties.

Brand Management and Content Creation:

Lead the management and development of the ownership's brand across all marketing channelsCollaborate with the Content Coordinator to oversee the creation and execution of compelling content from conceptualization to completionEnsure engaging, high-quality content is delivered regularly across various channels, including email, newsletters, website, and social mediaCreate and send emails and newsletters with a regular cadenceManage professional photography, video and photo shoots, and deliverables, including staging scenes, supporting models and creatorsCampaign and Project Management:

Manage marketing campaigns and projects across channels including paid, social, email, and content marketingMonitor campaign performance, optimize as needed, and prepare accurate reports on overall performanceDigital Marketing and Website Management:

Manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resourcesImplement and monitor digital campaigns, striving to achieve established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Oversee website updates, optimization, SEO audits, and implementation of best practicesExtensive experience with Google Ads, Meta Ads, Microsoft Ads, Social Media ads, and similar platforms is essential to be successful in this positionUnderstanding of how to maximize Google BusinessExperience in adding pages, changing content, and optimizing a WordPress websiteCreate proposed monthly budgets based on digital funnel optimizations and performanceSocial Media Oversight:

Participate in the development of the annual and monthly marketing strategy aligned with ownership objectivesMonitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing efforts on a weekly, monthly, and annual basisRun weekly, monthly, and quarterly marketing reports using LookerstudioGenerate insightful reports to provide key stakeholders with actionable insightsMarket Research, Analysis, and Demand Generation:

Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapesAnalyze consumer behavior and market data to inform marketing strategies and campaignsCollaborate with hotel teams and local businesses for exclusive partnerships, flash sales, and loyalty programs to generate demandCommunication and Collaboration:

Implement effective internal communications to ensure leadership and their teams are informed about marketing objectives and promotionsAct as the on-site contact for the PR agency, marketing vendors, and marketing inquiries, fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholdersWork Schedule and Expectations:

This is a full-time, exempt position requiring approximately 50 hours per week to perform the job duties successfully. As a leadership role in the hospitality industry, the Marketing Manager must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to meet the demands of the position and to ensure the smooth operation of the resort's marketing efforts.In accordance with California labor laws, this exempt position is not eligible for overtime compensation. However, we offer a competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience and qualifications.

The successful candidate must have a firm understanding of reporting key marketing metrics, marketing efforts, and content creation, with an emphasis on copy for social media, website, various marketing channels, and print. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills are essential for this role.
