Nights, 7p-7a, 12x3, 36hrs per week, EOW
Length:

*2 years of MICU/ICU experience required.
*VA state or compact license in hand
*BLS, ACLS, and NIH required to start. None need to be in hand to submit.
*Must confirm your traveler is OK with oncology ICU unit
*Preferred: Oncology experience and/or chemo experience highly preferred, but neither are required.

Patient Population - Oncology patients neutropenia/sepsis
Oncology patients needing ICU level care
Post op gyn patients, High dose chemo
Overflow patients, DKA, Hypertensive Emergency, Sepsis, AKI, AMS, Ciwa
Special Procedures : a-lines, Drips such as cardizem, amiodarone, cardene, levophed, neosynephrine, insulin

ICU
Intensive care unit travel nurse jobs, otherwise known as critical care unit (CCU) travel nurse jobs, specialize in providing care to the most acutely ill patients in the hospital. An ICU travel nurse might work in ICU burn unit, abdominal transplant acute care, neuro ICU, post-op, surgical ICU (SICU), trauma ICU or cardiovascular ICU (CVICU). Critical care nurses may also care for age-specific patients in the pediatric ICU (PICU) or neonatal ICU (NICU). Aside from clinical care such as skills with ventilators and tracheostomy tubes, travel ICU nurse jobs need a RN who can deliver progress updates and support to patients and/or their family.
