Job Title:Graphic Designer

Department:Productions

Reports To: Director, Graphic Design

Status: Exempt

Primary Objective: The Seattle Mariners seek a talented graphic designer who can make an impact on the organization's visual identity. This candidate is responsible for assisting in the development of all Mariners branding and graphic design production across all platforms - digital, broadcast, environmental, but with an emphasis on print.

Essential Functions:

• Design and produce high-quality graphics that visually communicate and engage with the audience

• Create and design assets for various materials for print, publications, promotional items, web, and digital applications

• Work in conjunction with others in the graphic design and marketing teams to develop direction for brand and style guidelines

• Serve as a production designer for marketing and brand design elements. Working closely with the Art Director on execution of elements

• Create print production files at a variety of sizes and scales

• Engage in the latest graphic design techniques

• Stay up to date with industry trends, develop best practices and seek out resources to expand and evolve the abilities of the department

• Be a leader on the team; helping implement strategies to effectively manage design projects to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the department's resources.

• Be an active participant in developing ideas, sharing creative input, and constructive feedback amongst the design team

• Ensure projects are completed with high quality and on schedule

• Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions

• Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite, Figma and Microsoft Office

• Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred. Equivalent, relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education if approved by management.

• Five (5) years of previous graphic design experience required, three (3) years in project management.

Success Factors:

• Advanced level-proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, with an emphasis on InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator

• Experience with Motion Design (AfterEffects) a plus

• Experience with Figma is considered a plus

• Proficient with Microsoft365 both as a tool and designing assets for applications such as PowerPoint and Word

• Knowledge of Mac OS and ability to troubleshoot hardware and software

• A general knowledge of baseball is desired

The Mariners are committed to providing competitive pay, perks, and benefits packages for our valued Team Members.

The anticipated starting salary range for this role is $69,000-$80,000 annually.
