We are looking for an Editorial Production Assistant who will be responsible for supporting the Producers across most functions of the show. You will have a unique view point into the day-to-day production and work closely across different teams and departments.Responsibilities include:+ Help execute creative segments under the direction of the Producers and Associate Producers as assigned, as well as work closely with Production team members to ensure budget expectations are met, staffing needs are communicated, and post/deliverables are executed on time.+ Identify and pitch story opportunities, finding the unique story angle while maintaining factual accuracy.+ Assist Producers in locating and obtaining footage and soundbites.+ Assist Producers in the field on shoots.+ Assist Producers in setting up segments.+ Participate in social media strategies.+ Log other materials as needed by the producers of the show.+ Verbatim transcription of field tapes/incoming feeds.+ Screen various network shows & synopses.+ Assignments from news desk as required.+ Flexibility in role within the team and within the company, including working across multiple formats and departments as needed.+ Other duties as assigned.Basic Qualifications+ 1+ year experience in television, Production Assistant work+ 2+ years' experience working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).+ A total entertainment/pop culture fanatic and have a complete grasp of all aspects of social media, television, film and music.+ Strong typing skillsDesired Characteristics+ iNews, ENPS, or Media Central experience desirable+ Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work with others efficiently in fast-paced, high-pressure situations.+ Basic knowledge of editing is desired but willingness to learn is sufficient.+ The ability to work with the other PAs in a team-oriented environment, often with minimal direct supervision+ Excellent attention to detail and a desire to learn and master new skills+ Creatively ambitious, willing to take risks and have funAdditional Requirements:Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week.This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
