People who bring strategic direction and drive for execution to ensure products are developed and launched with precision.**What You Will Do:**The PCB Designer is responsible for designing and documenting high density, complex multilayer printed circuits, flex circuits, and accompanying drawings within all applicable design guidelines. As the PCB Designer, you will prepare and maintain detailed design drawings, schematics or specifications typically using computer-aided design software. The PCB Designer works closely with design originators (e.g., engineers, designers) to resolve design details or discrepancies or to prepare drawings of unusual, complex or original designs which require a high degree of precision using computer-aided drafting (CAD) or computer-aided engineering (CAE) equipment. Additionally, the PCB Designer creates, modifies and controls detailed two- and three-dimensional parts and assembly drawings from engineers' and technicians' sketches, plans and written and verbal instructions and develops and maintains drafting standards and procedures. Lastly, you will evaluate and recommend purchase of CAD/CAE-related computer hardware and software.Additional role responsibilities may require you to:+ Act as the Subject Matter Expert in PCB layout, DFM/DFT tools, and PCB CAD library architecture, working with Cadence Allegro 16.6 or higher.+ Collaborate with PCB contractors and external PCB partners to produce designs compatible with Stryker standards.+ Develop, document, and improve PCB process and library standards.+ Work closely with mechanical engineers to collaborate on robust MCAD/ECAD interfaces, with a strong understanding of IPC standards as they relate to PCB fabrication and assembly.+ Complete printed circuit board artwork, drill and trim, assembly, silk screen, and schematic drawings describing a printed circuit or flex circuit.+ Resolve tool-related issues by consulting with CAD vendor representative, other senior printed circuit designers, or design supervisor.+ Work with EE/ME engineers, technicians, contract manufacturers, outside vendors, and supervisor to understand projects and negotiate solutions to problems.+ Report status of all assigned drawings to supervisor.+ Ensure proper component placement, signal integrity, and thermal considerations; create schematic symbols and footprints.**What You Need:**_Required:_+ High school diploma or equivalent+ 5+ years’ experience in in an PCB design environment+ Minimum of 2 years’ experience with Cadence Allegro PCB and Allegro library experience_Preferred:_+ Bachelor’s degree_$35.80/hr. – $50.34/hr., per hour plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location.
