Technical WriterJob Number: 350185Category: Technical WritingDescription: Job Title: Technical WriterLocation: Waltham, MAZip Code: 02451Start Date: Right AwayJob Type: Contract to HirePay Rate: $34.00-$45.00/hr DoESchedule: Hybrid - 3 days in officeKeywords: #TechnicalWriter #ProfessionalJobsJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:* Research and review engineering drawings, engineering orders, and related technical data defining aircraft modification and assembly/subassembly/component specifications, determine the effect on customer technical publications, and use the materials to produce accurate, high quality customer technical publications.* Produce in-house technical publications such as manuals, forms, standard operating procedures, and the wiki.* Provide support to other internal departments regarding in-house forms, guides, intranet sites, and manuals.* Interface and coordinate in a professional manner with other departments, internal customers, to ensure customer, regulatory, and requirements are met and to promote and support organizational business interests.* Assist with continuous improvement of Technical Publications department, including procedures, quality control, workflow, and tools.* Edit Knowledge Base Articles and Best Practices* Manage the localization of the Knowledge Base* Prepare KB articles to be ready for system migration* Update/create technical documentation* Demonstrate familiarity with illustration requirements.* Develop expertise in technical documentation methods and procedures used* Develop a strong understanding of policies and procedures.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:* Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years of technical writing / editing experience* Software industry background* Extensive experience in editing and writing technical content, localization, project management, budget management, change management and e-learning* Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Acrolinx* Personable, outstanding written and verbal communication* Ability to work and adapt in a fast-changing environment, analyze, process, and present data, and transfer knowledge.If you are interested in this role, please apply via the apply now link provided.
