**Company**Federal Reserve Bank of MinneapolisThe Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis is seeking a Writer/Analyst OR Senior Writer (DOQ) in the Community Development and Engagement division with a primary focus on managing the external communications of the Center for Indian Country Development. The writer will write, edit, and manage content for a range of audiences, including Native nations, Indigenous leaders, and federal / state policymakers, in support of our research and policy analysis.The Center for Indian Country Development (CICD) advances the economic self-determination and prosperity of Native nations and Indigenous communities through actionable data and research that make substantial contributions to public policy. We are looking for an individual who believes in the importance of good policy backed by credible research with findings that are clearly communicated in a variety of formats to a broad audience of stakeholders.The successful candidate will have excellent writing and editorial skills, a high level of attention to detail, a clear vision of what creates an effective communication strategy, a commitment to high-quality work, and strong organizational and time-management skills.The Bank believes in flexibility to balance the demands of work and life while also recognizing the necessity of connecting and collaborating with our colleagues in person. Onsite work is an essential function of this position, and **you are expected to be in the office 4 days per week** for meetings and team collaboration.**Applicants for this position must submit both a cover letter and a relevant writing sample.****Responsibilities:**+ Writing articles summarizing CICD events and distilling technical research and analysis for broader audiences.+ [If hired at the Senior Writer level:] Researching and writing articles on policy and economics.+ Editing articles for digital publication, reviewing articles for clarity and accuracy, ensuring adherence to the Bank’s copyediting and style guidelines.+ Collaboratively assisting other authors with writing, as needed.+ Writing and coordinating regular email communications that promote events, publications, and programs.+ Drafting and creating communications such as website content, event invitations, fact sheets, slide decks, or other materials needed to support key initiatives.+ Preparing talking points for executive leaders.+ Planning and developing regular content for CICD social media accounts.+ Other duties as assigned.**Qualifications:**+ Bachelor's degree or higher in journalism, communications, English, economics, or a related social science field.+ At least two years’ professional experience communicating on public policy, economic research, and/or financial topics—specifically including quantitative data and research—to non-technical audiences.
