Technical Writer_

Overview:Our client has an opportunity for a Cleared Technical Writer, to provide technical writing and engineering expertise to develop and document engineering and software designs, user operations, and maintenance procedures relevant to the development of the next-generation collection system.Description:Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:+ Under minimal supervision, researches, develops, writes, revises, and edits content for printed and for all supporting materials.+ Interview programmers, engineers, developers, and other technical personnel to acquire knowledge of product technology and development methods.+ Gathers and researches technical information for use in documentation activities.+ Prepares written documents following standard guidelines for technical publications.+ Reviews, edits, and proofreads work, and materials developed by lower level technical writers.Qualifications:+ Active Secret Clearance.+ Bachelor’s degree.+ 3+ years of technical writing experience.+ Intermediate knowledge in word processing software including MS Word and Adobe.+ Ability to write concise, logical, and grammatically correct documentation, suitable reports, read and interpret documents such as schematics, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and safety rules.+ Ability to adapt to frequent changes in workload and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.About ActalentActalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
