Are you ready to experiment with us?The PositionThe UX/UI Researcher at Novo will be pivotal in harnessing research to forge powerful customer insights that drive transformative design across our healthcare platforms. The UX/UI Researcher will be responsible for developing and implementing research plans and methods that cater to the unique needs of various therapy areas and brands. Deeply versed in UX/UI principles, this individual will adeptly apply behavioral science and consumer psychology to turn data into compelling narratives that shape user experiences. With a talent for analytical thinking and clear communication, the ideal candidate will expertly translate complex research into actionable design strategies, elevating the patient experience and setting new industry standards.RelationshipsReports to Customer Exp & Human Centered Lead. Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including marketing teams, behavior science, interaction design, analytics, and technology, to ensure alignment between design and business objectives.Essential Functions+ UI/UX Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive UI/UX strategies aligned with the brand/therapeutic area objectives and goals. Ensure UX/UI strategy integrates insights from the customer journey, segments, and identified opportunities for experience improvement+ UX Research Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive research plans and methods tailored to the unique needs of different therapy areas. Conduct user research across various research methods (e.g., field research, useability tests, surveys, etc.) to understand target audience demographics, experience gaps, pain points, goals, and behaviors+ Experience Gap Identification: Develop a deep understanding of the customer experience. Understand the gaps within the current experience and pain points that the customer experiences+ Data Analysis and Insight Generation: Analyze research data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform UX/UI design decisions as well as behavior-based marketing experiments. Translate quantitative and qualitative findings research into actionable recommendations for improving user experiences+ User-Centric Design: Support the UX/UI design process by providing user-centered insights that guide the development of wireframes, prototypes, and final designs. Ensure that design solutions align with user needs, preferences, and behaviors identified through research. Advocate for the user’s perspective throughout the design and development process+ User Experience Enhancement: Utilize insights from behavioral data to understand user behaviors and personalize user experiences based on individual customer preferences and inform enhancements to the overall user experience design+ Experience Optimization: Support development and execution of experiments by providing user experience input and insights are integrated into design and development processes+ Documentation and Communication: Communicate research plans, methodologies, findings, and recommendations effectively to a variety of stakeholders. Work with cross-functional teams to prioritize research initiatives based on project goals and timelines. Document research methodologies, decisions and guidelines+ Continuous Improvement: Evaluate the effectiveness of research initiatives and make data-driven improvements to enhance research processes. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging research methodologies in UX/UI designPhysical RequirementsApproximately 20-30% overnight travel.Qualifications+ Requires a Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree in UX/UI research, psychology or related field preferred+ 10+ years of experience, including demonstrated history in UX/UI research+ Experience with US life sciences organizations preferred+ Strong understanding of research methodologies and experience conducting user research+ Proficiency in using research tools and software+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights+ Experience with both qualitative and quantitative research methods and data analysis tools+ Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices+ Familiarity with UX/UI design tools+ Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and articulate design decisions and research findings to stakeholders+ Experience managing and collaborating with external partners+ Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously+ Embodies leadership behaviors, including authenticity, servant leadership, will, empathy, decisiveness, and driving focus and simplicity+ Strategic Planning, Execution and follow-through skillsWe commit to an inclusive recruitment process and equality of opportunity for all our job applicants.At Novo Nordisk we recognize that it is no longer good enough to aspire to be the best company in the world.
