Together, we’ll continue to create and deliver content that reflects the current and ever-changing face of the world.As a Graphics Associate Producer for Weekend TODAY, you will be responsible for preparing graphics, pitching, developing, writing and editing features.Responsibilities:+ Prepare graphics for live news program+ Produce weekly franchise segment news content, primarily for broadcast, including research, interviews, writing & editing scripts, overseeing tape edits+ Graphics Associate Producer is expected to both pitch story ideas and work on assigned stories developed by the editorial team+ Work with Standards & Legal Team to ensure Editorial Standards of all segments+ At least 2 years of editorial experience working in news production, preferably at the network level with morning television and/or short-format storytelling+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience+ Previous experience with Graphics orders and Graphic Editorial decision making+ Must have live control room experience and able to shoot + edit+ Strong journalistic writing and research skills, as well as editorial judgment+ Must be willing to work Wednesday-Sundays and can work flexible hours especially weekends, overtime, nights, holidays -- often with short notice.+ Can be “on call” 24 hours a day / 7 days a week+ Flexible with learning additional skills and other production responsibilities+ Willing to work in NYCDesired Qualifications:+ Demonstrated strong knowledge and interest in news and current events+ Previous experience with DALi, Template Farm, and/or Vizrt+ Experience working with Photoshop+ A self-starter with strong interpersonal skills+ Experience working with Media Central, iNews and editing software+ Strong storytelling ability+ Knowledge of NBC News Policies and Guidelines and Practices+ Familiarity with social mediaAdditional Job Requirements:+ Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
