Remote Digital Content Developer Job

We are hiring a digital content strategist to work on a on making web pages/sites more mobile friendly. Must be able to do basic CMS development along with have content management experience. This job is 100% remote but you must be located in Texas and because it is with a government entity you must be a US Citizen.Work can be done after hours but you must be available for meetings during the day as necessary.Required QualificationsExperience with similar content management systems (Wordpress, Drupal, Wix, etc)Strong understanding of how content and design fit together to make useful websitesKnowledge of web standards and best practices related to accessibility, usability, and writing for the webExperience managing and publishing websites, with a focus on content strategy and information architectureKnowledge base and support for decisions based on data, analytics, research, trends, and best practicesAbility to determine what page structure, template, and content type are appropriate to meet user needs and marketing goalsExcellent everyday communication skills, both oral and writtenExperience communicating with clients of varying levels of technical and creative expertise in a professional settingProven ability to work on multiple priorities simultaneouslyPreferred QualificationsExperience with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft OfficeExperience with design and prototyping tools like FigmaExperience with content management systemsProfessional experience with higher education issues and audiencesBasic understanding of modern HTML and CSSProven ability to train or consult on client/partner challenges with site creation, page layout, and content strategy
