Description**Purpose of Position**ICF is seeking a Writer to work on a national technical assistance project. The purpose of this project is to provide legal services for Unaccompanied Children post-release from Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) care and custody and to expand the legal community’s skills and capacity to provide immigration legal support. The successful candidate will be a highly experienced writer who will develop, write, and design content for use in communication and training. The candidate needs to develop appropriate content, review, research, and develop materials within a matrixed team environment.The Writer will report to the **Communication and Outreach Lead** and serve as a part of the Training and Communication teams.**Key Responsibilities** **:**+ Develop content for the project’s communication and legal service provider recruitment, training, and technical assistance needs intended for specific audiences, including LSPs, Unaccompanied Children, and their sponsors.+ Work with subject matter experts, translators, and other project team members to develop and maintain content that supports the project’s needs, particularly as related to outreach and dissemination.+ Participate in the development of new content within a team environment including subject matter experts, technical experts, and project managers.+ Research best practices in legal services for Unaccompanied Children for content development.+ Utilize available research and data for exploration of problems and issues identified for Unaccompanied children legal needs related to citizenship status.+ Develop and maintain working relationships with team members.**Basic Qualifications** **:**+ Bachelor’s Degree in English, journalism, communications, or related field.+ Minimum of 5 years’ experience developing written content for curriculum, publication, or website.+ Minimum of 3 years’ experience direct experience developing and delivering content related to immigration, law, refugee needs, or a related field.+ Knowledge of adult learning principles and other theories of learning.**Preferred Skills:**+ Master’s Degree in social work, public administration, English, or related field.+ 5+ years professional refugee work experience with at least 4+ years of experience training and developing training curriculum.+ Experience developing learning experiences on federal contracts.**Professional Skills**+ High quality control skills with superior attention to detail and the ability to meet stringent deadlines.+ Ability to promote and contribute to an equitable and inclusive organizational culture and environment.+ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.+ Ability to prioritize and manage multiple activities simultaneously in a fast-paced, changing environment.+ Strong team player with the ability to take initiative and work well independently.+ Excellent verbal, oral, interpersonal and written communication skills, including experience with developing and delivering presentations, writing, and blogging social media content.+ Ability to exercise good judgment, discretion, tact, and diplomacy.+ Strong organizational and time management skills.\#ORPRLS**Working at ICF**ICF is a global advisory and technology services provider, but we’re not your typical consultants.
