Southern Glazer’s offers a competitive compensation package with expected first year total earnings between $70,000 - $90,000 / year including incentives. This salary range is an average range for this position. In determining a final offer, the company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills and experience and will make an offer appropriately.

Overview

The SG Creative (https://sgcreative.southernglazers.com/p/1) Experience Designer will develop multiple design projects and oversee the completion of deliverables from beginning to end, helping to ensure consistency in the quality of work delivered. While designers plan, develop, and manage their respective projects, the designer could also serve as a project lead, helping to plan activities, set priorities, troubleshoot issues, brainstorm ideas, and remove obstacles at the onset and throughout the development of each project. The Experience Designer may lead or co-chair design calls, participate in planning sessions, and assist in day-to-day administration.

Primary Responsibilities

Use various design tools, software, and hardware to create deliverables from any of the SG Creative service offerings (https://sgcreative.southernglazers.com/sgc-services-toolkit-external/p/1) that meet or exceed the SG Creative design standards and satisfy our client and stakeholder expectations

Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and esthetic design concepts

Assist with content development

Develop visualization, design, image templates, or page templates that meet project goals, user needs, or industry standards

Develop new, interactive audio and visual design concepts and modify concepts based on stakeholder feedback

Execute pre-production activities, such as creating mood boards or storyboards and establishing a project timeline

Identify problems uncovered by testing or stakeholders' feedback, and correct problems or refer problems to appropriate personnel for correction

Develop graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and Web sites

Create and iterate on ideas using storyboards, prototypes, and higher-fidelity designs which effectively communicate visual strategies and experiences

Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy and select style and size of type

Draw and print charts, graphs, illustrations, images, and other artwork using computer software and web authoring tools

Review final layouts and suggest improvements as needed

Prepare illustrations or rough sketches of material, discussing them with clients or supervisors and making necessary changes

Research and apply innovative solutions for product design, visuals, and user experience to meet the needs of projects

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in design and instructional methods

Manage, track, and maintain project administration through assigned software (such as Monday.com)

Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equitable experience/certifications

Excellent interpersonal skills and enthusiasm to work with others to accomplish tasks, assignments, and projects with attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to set clearly defined objectives and plan activities while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Manages time effectively and identifies resources needed to accomplish tasks

Ability to follow established procedures accurately and carefully for completing work tasks

Strong written and verbal communication skills to express ideas clearly and effectively when speaking or writing to individuals or groups; listens attentively; ensures information is communicated in a timely manner

Ability to identify ways to improve yourself, the team, content partner deliveries, and cross-functional integration

Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud and MS Office Suite

Ability to produce short videos and sizzle reels using Adobe Premier Pro

Beginner-to-intermediate experience creating 2D/3D end caps and shelf displays for retail locations

Physical Demands

Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor)

Physical demands with activity or condition may include walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping

May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 60lbs, standing for extended periods
