The Learning Experience & Multimedia Designer will be a member of the Learning Design and Analytics team within DaVita University's Center of Excellence (CoE). The CoE is a key component of our evolving Wisdom department and learning strategy for the Village. The Learning Experience & Multimedia Designer will work collaboratively with program owners and subject matter experts (SMEs), business leaders, key stakeholders, and other learning professionals to design and develop innovative learning solutions that leverage a combination of media to maximize the learner experience, learning effectiveness, and business impact. The Learning Experience & Multimedia Designer creates compelling and interactive presentations, polished visual images, animations, video, and audio files to tell compelling stories and address learning capability gaps. This position identifies design and media efficiency solutions, including template development and AI design, and provides consultation and mentorship to other instructional designers in learning multimedia design and development.Our ideal hire will be an expert in design, layout and visual communication and have a strong background in multimedia learning theory and instructional design, especially for instructor-led learning experiences; fulfillment with working in a fast-paced, agile environment, and demonstrated success working in teams.The preferred location for this position is Denver, CO, though we are open to 100% remote.Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited ToApplies adult learning best practices and multimedia learning theories to design and develop best-in-class instructor-led/virtual instructor-led training (ILT or vILT) to create signature learning experiences. Leverages graphics, icons, photography and videos to tell compelling stories and develops necessary support materials including scripts, show flows, storyboards, facilitator guides & learner workbooks.Designs and develops media in all forms that maximize learner experience, learning effectiveness and business impact. Media products include graphics, icons, iconography and other polished visual images, audio files, animations, videos and print materials such as workbooks and guides.Participates in cross-functional, agile design teams and provides consultation on best multimedia learning solutions. Collaborates to conceptualize and execute creative solutions that can be translated across various media and learning platforms.Understands the role of media in relation to learning science and applies multimedia learning theory consistently. Can describe how and why a recommended media meets learning objectives and business requirements. (Ex: how to place words and pictures to achieve spatial & temporal contiguity, when is it best to use animation over stills, photography over illustration, abstract patterns versus realist images)Ensures technical feasibility of design solutions and produces final media optimized for web and mobile delivery.Identifies and executes design and media efficiency solutions, including template development and AI design.Mentors and develops other designers on learning multimedia best practices.Minimum Qualifications4+ years of work experience in multimedia learning and instructional design.Proficient with multimedia authoring tools/software (e.g. Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, video & audio editing software, Articulate).Excellent written, oral, presentation and interpersonal skills with a passion for teamwork.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with evolving demands.Strong attention to detail and a feeling of pride and ownership over the quality of our product.Manages time and job tasks to deliver learning solutions that meet quality expectations on time.Approaches job tasks and projects with a mindset of continuous improvement; self-motivated to learn new skills.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree preferred.Formal Instructional Design training and/or certificationsTravel and Time RequirementsTravel: 0-15%Nights and weekend work is rare if any
