Job Description

The Email Marketing Manager will be responsible for the coding, creation, execution, scheduling, and analysis of all email programs across multiple platforms and brands in a B2B2C. In this role, they will collaborate with internal business partners to execute and scale email campaigns that are critical to driving growth. They will develop and execute marketing test plans to optimize and grow the email & CRM channels. They will maintain an ongoing awareness of trends and email best practices. In addition, the email marketing manager will work closely with all members of the Marketing and Product teams in multiple offices to ensure seamless execution of all email & CRM related campaigns & projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Manages end-to-end email production that supports our eCommerce business – includes coding, development, deployment, and analysis of email campaigns, utilizing a major ESP (i.e., Zeta, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, etc.)

Manages additional aspects of campaign execution including content development, list management, segmentation set-up, tracking and reporting.

Participates in the QA/QC process for all email campaigns, working with account managers, marketing leads, and developers to ensure all details, links, spelling, products, and content are correct.

Performs peer review of campaign set up and coding to ensure emails render accurately across ISPs and other platforms.

Project manages email/CRM marketing initiatives from end-to-end, including but not limited to the following:

Ongoing optimization of email & CRM initiatives

Partnering with creative services and email developers to design,

Implementing/executing comprehensive, measurable A/B and multi-variate testing plans. (i.e., Welcome series, re-engagement campaigns, lifecycle automation triggers, etc.)

Evaluating and reporting on results.

Monitors, tracks, and reports on email & CRM test performance across relevant e-mail marketing campaigns (including open rates, conversion etc.). Provides recommendations for testing existing/new campaigns to enhance their effectiveness and increase conversions.

Collaborate with Analytics team to develop post-send campaign write-ups that include the campaign goals, results, and recommendations or opportunities for optimizing future sends.

Report and analyze promotional incentives. Ensure profitability of these initiatives.

Collaborates with merchandising and marketing on campaign calendars.

Works with cross-functional departments to coordinate on campaign assets, promotions, and sales incentives.

Understands the application of scripting language to develop rules-based emails that leverage site behavioral data and/or transactional data; Partners with developers on implementation.

Qualifications:Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field

3+ years of hands-on experience managing and executing email marketing campaigns in high volume, complex, B2C or B2B2C environments.

Must have worked with large scale mailing lists, 1M+ with high levels of personalization & audience segmentation.

Highly proficient in coding/updating existing HTML emails and ability to utilize CSS in those campaigns.

Experience working with one or more enterprise level Email Service Providers (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Cheetah Digital, Zeta, etc.) and project management tools (e.g., JIRA) required.

Proficiency in email marketing best practices

Template Optimization, including UX/UI standards for email (Desktop and Mobile)

Conversion optimization tactics

Understanding of data file integration with ESPs and how they are utilized in email initiatives.

Understanding of CAN-SPAM

Technical/mathematical aptitude; excellent Excel skills.

Ability to manage multiple deadline-oriented projects concurrently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to lead projects and resources in collaboration with related functions and departments.

Attention to detail with the ability to deliver projects on time.

Excellent verbal and written skills, with proven ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in retail, entertainment, sports and/or travel industry is preferred

Proficiency in Dreamweaver/Photoshop skills

Experience using Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, and other marketing automation platforms.

Familiar with data and file format, and data exchanges such as JSON, APIs

Knowledge of debugging techniques and usage of browser developer tools

Experience in cross-device/browser/OS coding techniques for responsively designed emails.
