Primary Function

Wor-Wic Community College is accepting applications for a part-time library aide to work 14 hours per week from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. two evenings per week and every other Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This position performs general reference desk duties and assists media center patrons in accessing information on the Internet and subscription databases, and with the basic use of Microsoft Office.Essential Duties

Performs general reference desk duties that include assisting students in accessing information on the Internet and subscription databases and with the basic use of Microsoft OfficeAssists in keeping the library services equipment clean and operationalOpens and closes the resource centersEnforces the college's computer usage policies and proceduresPerforms other duties as assignedMinimum Requirements

Associate degreeOne year of related work experience with Internet and Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to work independently and with the public in a pleasant mannerComputer, organizational, human relations, and written and verbal communication skillsPreference will be given to candidates who possess experience with library databases

This is a part-time temporary support staff position. This position does not include benefits
