Salary/Non-Exempt

SALARY RANGE:

$43,000 - $50,000

BENEFITS INCLUDE:

LOCATION:

Offices of Hollywood Theatre, occasional trips to Movie Madness, with the flexibility to work remotely at the discretion of the supervisor.

ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW:

The Hollywood Theatre is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to entertain, inspire, educate, and connect the community through the art of film while preserving a historic Portland Landmark. In addition to the theatre itself, the organization also operates Movie Madness, an iconic video store that boasts one of the largest and most in-depth film collections in the world.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Marketing Coordinator works with the Marketing Director to assist in promoting the Hollywood Theatre and Movie Madness as destinations for superior film experiences, with a diverse range of film programming and a film archive of more than 90,000 titles. The Marketing Coordinator position requires a strong background in design, video editing, and social media. This position primarily manages the organization's social media channels, print materials, and graphic design deliverables as assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Update weekly and monthly programming schedules, print and distribute to multiple locationsCreate slides for upcoming events (weekly), share with the Development Coordinator to publish On Screen at the theatreWrite and distribute press releases and other company announcements.Update and distribute Movie Madness' new release print and digital materialsCoordinate info from Miniplex schedule, print and distributeGraphic design. Create graphics for social for Movie Madness University, fundraising, and other programs as assignedCoordinate and deliver merch orders to Hollywood Theatre and Movie Madness locations as neededCreate in-store promos for Hollywood Theatre and Movie Madness as assignedBecome familiar with our website content management system (WordPress), and subsequently support Hollywood Theatre staff in updating and maintaining our website(s).Other duties as assigned.Social Media, Website & Newsletters:

Manage social media accounts for both Hollywood Theatre and Movie Madness, posting daily across FB, Twitter/X, TikTok, and Instagram, approximately 4 posts per day.Provide general oversight of the Hollywood Theatre and Movie Madness social media accounts..Work with programmers and staff to develop original content that promotes signature programming and other projects.Generate monthly reports and analyses regarding social media engagement, with recommendations for improvement as needed.Send regular email newsletters and manage email list growth, including audience segmentation for various programs.Act as primary marketing liaison and project manager for Movie Madness University/Community Engagement promotion strategy.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

High School Diploma or GED Required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.Some local travel is requiredMust have a valid driver's license and a clean motor vehicle recordProof of eligibility to work in the United States is required

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The work is primarily performed in an office setting and/or remotely, with offsite meetings and events. Occasional travel may be required. This is largely a sedentary position that requires the employee to sit, stand, walk, and bend, and may include heavy lifting of files, equipment, merchandise, etc. The Marketing Coordinator works full-time, typically between the office hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. There will be periods in which events and deadlines necessitate evening and weekend work.
