We are based in San Francisco, with offices in New York, Boston, and Chicago. However, we are also open to hiring in the following states: Connecticut, Florida, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Vermont, and Washington.

In this role, you will be responsible for helping Highwire clients improve their visibility in organic search results. As part of the Insights & Analytics team, the SEO Analyst will contribute strategic recommendations to clients and will be regularly client-facing. Candidates must have a strong grasp of core search techniques such as content strategy and technical analysis. The SEO Analyst must understand client goals and SEO strategies, incorporating them into appropriate SEO tactics. This role involves significant collaboration with client operations, content marketing, and other functions across the agency.

Key Responsibilities:SEO Reporting:

Provide SEO reports with minimal oversight, including data pulling, analysis, insights, and presentations.Technical and Competitive Analysis:

Lead technical site analysis, competitive analysis, and content audits to inform SEO strategies.Website Audits:

Conduct website audits to create technical, creative, and conversion rate optimization (CRO) recommendations that are aligned with brand priorities and goals.Task Prioritization:

Prioritize tasks based on their likely effectiveness and implementation feasibility.Data-Driven Recommendations:

Present findings and support recommendations with hard data.Problem Solving:

Identify and solve problems that arise in reporting and SEO strategy implementation.Content and Technical Analysis:

Develop content recommendations and technical analysis presentations to enhance SEO performance.Marketing Support:

Support marketing efforts by contributing to SEO case studies, white papers, blog posts, and points of view (POV).Collaboration:

Work with creative and development teams to ensure proper implementation of SEO recommendations.SEO Strategy Integration:

Translate clients' business goals and marketing objectives into successful SEO strategies.Keyword Research:

Decide upon final keyword lists with minimal supervision.Tool Utilization:

Understand a variety of SEO/SEM tool sets, knowing when and how to use each effectively, and develop opinions on their uses and limitations.Technical SEO:

Build technical SEO acumen to identify and address common SEO issues.Cross-functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with social, SEM, and offline marketing teams to implement SEO tactics designed to meet client marketing goals.Industry Updates:

Present new tools and summarize industry articles to the internal team.Requirements:

Minimum of 2+ years of experience in SEO or a relevant function such as SEM.Familiarity with multiple keyword research, reporting, and link-building tools.Understanding of why certain search results appear for various keywords.Expertise with technical SEO tools such as:Ahrefs/Moz/SEMRushGoogle Search ConsoleScreaming FrogLumarSimilar toolsComfortable with platforms including Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Excellent research, writing, and presentation skills with a keen attention to detail.Innovative thinker and intuitive learner, capable of quickly finding solutions in a fast-moving industry.Desired Skills & Experience:

Ability to multitask and handle other duties as assigned.Ability to think critically with a solutions-oriented mindset.Understanding of basic web development technologies, including HTML.Knowledge of local SEO, mobile SEO, and social media optimization (SMO) concepts.Knowledge of eCommerce SEO concepts.Ability to develop interpersonal relationships across clients and teams.Experience with project management tools is a plus.

$75,000 - $100,000 a year

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
