With an annual revenue exceeding $20 million, mostly from federal and state grants, we are at the forefront of change.CCADV is hiring for the newly created position of Director of Development and Communications. This position is a full-time salaried position and reports to the Vice President of Government and Public Relations. The Director of Development and Communications is a key storyteller for CCADV whose role is to bring communities closer to our organization, build and steward authentic relationships, and engage and solicit support from individual donors, foundations, and corporations. The Director of Development and Communications leads on building and supporting a vibrant and sustainable culture of clear consistent communication, philanthropy, transparency, and collaboration. If you are a passionate, dynamic, and innovative leader, then apply for our Director of Development and Communications opening!Responsibilities:Donor Stewardship & Fundraising:Build transformational relationships with funders and donors.Design and implement a comprehensive development program to engage current and new donors.execute and evaluate fundraising strategies for individual donors, major gifts, foundations, and corporations.Develop the annual giving program and oversee donor correspondence.Participate in grant writing efforts, ensuring timely and strategic submissionsPlan and execute fundraising events, growing revenue year over year.Establish annual fundraising goals in alignment with the organization's financial objectives.Provide technical assistance and training for member programs on development and fundraising efforts.Communications & Community Engagement:Oversee communication efforts, including outreach materials and a strong social media presence.Participate in public speaking opportunities and support the Chief Executive Officer as a spokesperson.Plan and execute recognition, community, and fundraising events.Develop a strategic communications plan and lead its implementation.Provide training and technical assistance for member programs in communications and engagement.Leadership & Management:Build a culture of philanthropy among staff, board, volunteers, and member agencies.Recruit, manage, and retain a volunteer development committee.Support the Chief Executive Officer's development-related duties.Play an integral role in budget development, strategic planning, and internal processes.Prepare reports to evaluate fundraising efforts and outcomes.Ensure ethical fundraising standards and confidentiality are met.Essential Qualifications:Bachelor's degree required.Seven years of proven fundraising and communications experienceExperience working in the non-profit industry.Management experience with a focus on team development and professional growth.Strong foundation in nonprofit fundraising systems and methods.Proven experience in securing major grants and gifts.Excellent communication skills, including storytelling.Proficiency in donor database management systems.Technological proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365 Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and Canva.
