Denim Designer

Job Description:

Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Freelance Denim Designer to join their team during the maternity leave of their Senior Denim Designer. As a Denim Designer, you will play a crucial role in creating wash comments for our factories, with a strong emphasis on denim background and extensive knowledge of denim wash techniques. In addition to wash comments, you will also be involved in denim design using Illustrator.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with team members to create detailed wash comments for production

- Utilize your extensive knowledge of denim materials and techniques to develop innovative wash treatments

- Work closely with factories to ensure accurate execution of desired wash effects

- Create original denim designs using Illustrator software

- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and techniques related to denim design

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Denim Designer or similar role within the apparel industry

- Strong expertise in creating detailed wash comments for factories

- In-depth understanding of different types of denims, fabrics, dyes, finishes, and their effects on garment appearance

- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator for designing purposes

- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines

- Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced environments

This position is on-site M-F in Montebello, CA.Salary: $40 - 45/hr
