Exemption Status:United States of America (Non-Exempt)Job Description:

Under direct supervision and reporting to the TU Press Sales Manager, this position supports the TU Press sales and marketing team by assisting with a variety of tasks to enhance TU Press sales initiatives and marketing campaigns. Duties include assisting with sales activities, assisting with publicity and media relations, coordinating events and promotions, updating website content, copywriting, and data management.

Sales Support:Assists the TU Press team with outreach activities, order processing, and reports on sales performance metrics.

Provides general administrative support as needed to support the TU Marketing & Sales team.

Publicity and Media Relations:

Drafts and distributes press releases and media alerts, in collaboration with the TU Press Sales Manager and marketing team.

Assists with maintaining relationships with media contacts and intake of media inquiries.

Event Coordination:

Plans and executes promotional events, including assistance with logistics, staffing, and on-site coordination.

Content Management:

Updates and maintains website content, ensuring that it is current and engaging.

Edits marketing copy for various platforms, including social media, newsletters, and brochures.

Awards Submissions:

Prepares and submits award entries, ensuring all criteria are met and tracking submission deadlines.

Data Management:

Maintains accurate records of marketing and sales data.

Assists with data analysis to generate reports and insights for strategic planning.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

Cooperates and collaborates with other employees in the spirit of teamwork and collegiality and interacts with confidence, patience and integrity to provide professional leadership during emergencies.

Complies with all Trinity University policies and guidelines.

Performs other duties as required.

EDUCATION

Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, or related field from an accredited institution.

EXPERIENCE

Required:

Three (3) years of experience in an office and/or retail environment.

Preferred:

Experience in a marketing, public relations, special events and/or book publishing or retail environment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Required:

Strong organization, project management and analytical skills.Ability to manage a wide range of tasks, often with shifting priorities and time frames.Ability to problem solve, independently exercise sound judgment and work with a small fast-paced team.Proficiency in Excel, Word and websites, as well as experience with database systems.Excellent written and verbal communications.
