What We Offer
The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The hiring range for this position is $83,000- $100,000. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:A guaranteed life-long monthly pension, once vested after 5 years of service457B Retirement Plan140 hours of PTO earned within first year + 11 paid holidays, 1 personal holiday and 1 volunteer day per yearCompetitive medical, dental and vision plans effective within 1 month of start dateLocation
The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days. In this position you can expect to work on site at least 3 days per week.

Denver Arts and Venues is seeking a Marketing and Communications Specialist to perform professional level communications, event activation, product development and marketing duties. Denver Arts & Venues aims to amplify Denver's quality of life and economic vitality through our premier public venues, public art collection, and free entertainment events and programs. The City and County of Denver is looking for a Marketing and Communications Specialist. The Marketing and Communications Specialist will report to the Marketing Director and will be responsible for vision, strategy, direction, and execution of communications and marketing projects, including development of venue-specific revenue opportunities, product upsells, communications and marketing related to those products and other duties.
The position is responsible for communications and outreach to venue agency partners, corporate sponsors, fans, venue staff and more in the development of strategic partnerships.
Responsibilities
Provides marketing and development programs related to venue upsell opportunities, venue partnership and fan-facing upgrade, loyalty and other programsServes as liaison between marketing group and venue directors, promoters, corporate partners and morePlans and implements major marketing and promotional programs, campaigns and events in support of venues including Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Denver Performing Arts Complex and moreProposes, develops and monitors budgets for campaigns as needed.Performs other related duties as assignedAbout You

Experience in venue, concert, sports or live event promotion and marketingExperience in development of products related to fan experience, merchandising, upsell programs, loyalty programs and the marketing programs supporting themWorking knowledge of live events industry including marketing, sales, partnership marketing, data management and moreWorking experience related to consumer sales, brand development and image managementWork in fast-paced environments and crisis communications situationsRequired Minimum Qualifications

Education requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or a related fieldExperience Requirement: Four (4) years of full performance, professional level experience performing marketing and/or public relations functions including research and analysis, developing public announcements and publications, and developing marketing and/or public relations strategiesEducation/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirementsLicense/Certifications: Requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application. Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment.
