We perform civil infrastructure design and permitting support for a combination of municipal governments and private companies throughout the US. Our team is growing at a steady pace and needs a civil CAD designer in our Phoenix, AZ or Tucson, AZ office to continue to support future and ongoing contracts. Our office consists of several technical disciplines that provide services within the environmental, geotechnical, mechanical, civil, construction, and field services.
Your Role :
Work on design teams to create design drawings for heavy civil infrastructure including mass and detailed grading, drainage, roads, tanks, pipelines, concrete structures using AutoCAD Civil 3DPrepare figures and details using AutoCAD for various reportsFollow and maintain CAD standards for the design groupEfficiently produce final product drawings from concept sketches with technical guidance from engineers and senior CAD designersProduce accurate 2D and 3D drawings using 3D visualization of terrain, cut and fill slopes, concrete structures, and pipelinesCreate and manage 3D surfaces to produce design drawings and volume calculationsAbility to thoroughly understand 3D geometric relationships within a 2D imageQualifications :
1 to 6 years of experienceComputer knowledge in MS Office SuiteExperience with AutoCAD Civil 3DAbility to work in a team environment with local and remote team membersWell-developed verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work efficiently when managing multiple tasksEffective problem-solving skillsExperience in an engineering consulting firm is considered an asset
