Duties and Responsibilities:As a creative arts therapist for Midwest Refuah Health Care (MRHC)’s new community mental health clinic, you will see clients individually and work in tandem with our mental health team to evaluate, treat, and communicate with clients and other stakeholders.As a creative arts therapist, you will maintain a regular caseload, incorporating your creative arts expertise in treating clients. You will be responsible for all the duties attached to seeing clients, including maintaining communication and necessary documentation. Additionally, you’ll be expected to take part in regular and ongoing supervision and training.Provide direct service to members through; art therapy/counseling, group counseling/therapy, case management, community support, job support, case consultation, and crisis intervention.Assess, evaluate, and make recommendations to enhance the therapeutic/clinical perspective on clinical interventions.Complete all assigned paperwork accurately, thoroughly and in a timely fashion, including assessments that may be required by a grant.Supports and supervises interns as assigned.Participates in weekly clinical staffing with supervisor for clients on caseload.Provide accurate and timely information to leadership on all topics and issues related to the operation of the agency and the well-being of its members.Other duties as assigned.Education:Must be a full or provisionally licensed mental health professional (ex. LCSW, Ph.D., etc.)Master’s level degree in Creative Arts Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy, or similar OR be a Registered Expressive Arts Therapist (REAT), Registered Creative Art Therapist (R-DMT, BC-DMT, ATR-P, ATR, ATR-BC, MT-BC, RDT, and RTD-BC)Commitment to continued therapeutic educationQualifications:Basic computer skillsIntellectual openness and flexibilityA passion for evidence-based practiceAbility to self-start and directComfort handling a sizeable and diverse caseloadCultural sensitivity, particularly toward the Orthodox Jewish CommunityMidwest Refuah Health Center is an equal opportunity employer.
