Civil Designer

Are you seeking a new role in Civil Design? Selectek is seeking qualified Civil Engineers and Civil Designers for a partnering company in Lakeland, Florida. This firm focuses on large-scale projects, and potential candidates will be heavily involved in the land development portion of the process for industrial plant sites.Employment Type: Contract to DirectLocation: Lakeland, FLExpected Pay Range: $30.00-$45.00 per hour before conversion to permanent employee status.Job Requirements:- Degree in Design Technology or Civil Engineering.- 2 + years of experience with land development and design- Proficiency in Civil3D- Design, drafting, and modeling skills in 2D and 3D environments- Knowledge of industry or regulatory standards and codes for required civil design, including SFWMD and FDEP regulations- Ideal candidates have GIS experience and know drainage softwareIn addition to these requirements, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.Job Duties:- Develop 3D models and 2D drawings of land development projects- Modify existing projects based on scope- Work independently and apply design principles of Land Development- Utilize knowledge of roadways, waterline, lift stations, and requirements for permitting- Perform field verification and support during construction- Travel to job sites as required- Participate in project review meetings throughout the processFor more information on this position or other openings around the southeast, call Joey Fairbanks with Selectek at 470.203.9530.
