Mechanical Designer/Piping Designer

Actalent is hiring a Mechanical Designer/Piping Designer to support our client in the Richmond market. This individual will be responsible for performing design duties on assigned projects involving process, service and utility piping, supports, HVAC, and equipment layout. You will also assist the project manager in developing bids, proposals, estimates, scopes of work, schedules, and material lists. In addition, you will be tasked with maintaining project files and documentation, certifying the accuracy and completeness of all deliverables, and providing guidance to subordinate staff members on a day-to-day basis.
Skills and Qualifications
Piping Design
Experience in a heavy industrial field
HVAC Design
Plant 3D and AutoCAD experience
Documentation maintenance
Guidance and assistance provision
Work Environment
The office comprises 100 employees with expected growth to 115. You will spend approximately 80% of your time in the office and 20% performing field visits. The attire is business casual, and the standard work schedule is Monday through Friday.
