Job Description Summary:Faegre Drinker has an opportunity for a Business Development & Marketing Manager to work with our Finance & Restructuring and Investment Management Practice Groups in our Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Chicago, Washington D.C., or downtown Indianapolis office. You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to developing marketing and business growth strategies for the assigned practice groups. This position will work with other talented individuals who share a passion for doing great work in the best interest of our clients.

Job Description:

What you would do:Develop and implement a marketing, business development and communications strategy for the assigned groups and professionalsWork proactively with practice groups and individual lawyers to design and execute business development plans and initiativesConduct client and market analysis and develop and maintain target client listsDevelop strong consultative relationships with professionals across assigned groups and serve as a connection point for supported professionalsBecome knowledgeable across practices, services provided, trends, market segments, clients served and relevant publicationsCollaborate with attorneys and consultants to prepare for client conversationsDevelop a strategy for content creation and earned and owned media opportunitiesIdentify client events, industry conferences, sponsorships and related activities that are consistent with practice and industry strategiesCollaborate with our writers to ensure that supported groups have collateral materials readily available to support their business development activitiesHelp respond to RFPs and other opportunities to present the firm to potential clientsServe as a leader across the firm in emphasizing the importance of strategic marketing and business developmentWork to understand the resources across the BDM team and pull in appropriate team members to assist in executing projectsWhat is expected:

Actual initial salary may be above or below the above-identified range and will be based on the relevant skills, training, experience, and other job-related factors, including the location where the position is filled, in all cases consistent with applicable law. This is an exempt role and the initial salary range listed above is just one component of Faegre Drinker's total compensation and benefits package for professional staff, which includes, but is not limited to, a discretionary bonus; life, health, accident, and disability insurance; and a 401(k) plan.

What is required:

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business, journalism, communications, or marketing8+ years of marketing and business development experienceProfessional services, law firm or related industry experience preferredExperience supporting Finance & Restructuring and/or Investment Management preferred but not required
