Position SummaryUnder the direction of the president, the director of communication and marketing provides leadership, direction, and innovation for all marketing, communications, alumni relations, and development. Work collaboratively with the CCC Foundation team with fundraising and development efforts for the college. The director is responsible for coordinating the design, development, implementation and evaluation of the marketing goals and objectives of the College through a consistent brand message and visual identity, developing personal rapport and close working relationships with the media, and supervising the public relations activities at the College. Performs other duties as assigned.Duties & Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Work closely with the president's team in establishing and maintaining relationships and communications in support of the college's work and its students' success. Plan and monitor institutional advancement department budgets to include marketing, foundation, museum, and cultural arts series. Supervise and evaluate assigned staff.Serves as the public information officer (PIO), maintaining open and positive lines of communication with local communities and the media, including overseeing preparation of news releases, broadcast information, public service announcements, and feature articles. Work collaboratively with other units of the College on communication strategies for recruiting high school students, other populations and retaining current students.Coordinate the development and implementation of the marketing efforts of the College and maintain records of marketing program strategies and accomplishments.Develop marketing and communication plans, including general branding and program related, for diverse platforms (print, radio, television, digital), collaborating with college departments.Oversight of planning and coordination of special events and programs that promote College relations with students, parents, alumni, and donors.Work closely with College personnel to coordinate the design, development, production and dissemination of promotional materials in a responsive, efficient manner. Oversee development of video stories and photography.Manage and prepare day-to-day social media publishing to include the planning and deployment of social media campaigns, engaging with College liaisons to ensure consistent and timely content is being developed, monitoring online conversations, and building engagement through direct interactions online for the needs of brand advocacy.Write and manage content on the Clovis Community College website and update the News section of the website, ensuring full compliance with all laws and regulations.Represent the College at various community activities and other functions as assigned by the president.Provide editing support, including proofreading, error checking, fact checking, and production support for a variety of marketing materials in different formats (video, print, digital).PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Requires frequent sitting/moving about, continuous use of fine motor skills, and pushing/pulling up to 10 lbs.

SCHEDULE DETAILS:

Must be available to work 40 hrs. per week with normal work hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Occasional evening hours and weekend hours required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution and three (3) years of public relations, design, and/or marketing experience.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's Degree from a regionally accredited institution
