OUR MISSION

The mission of the Eastern Star Church ministry is evangelism and discipleship. We are committed to the great commission instituted by Jesus Christ that is to nurture and save souls. (Matthew 28:18-20). Everything we have done is to live out this vision that the Lord has given to our church family. From adding ministries to staffing, from building facilities to adding programs, from stewardship to membership, it has all been for the purpose of being obedient to the commission of Christ.

YOUR ROLE IN OUR MISSION

This is a part-time, 30 hours a week on-site role for a Graphic Designer at Eastern Star Church. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating and designing graphics, including logos and branding materials. Typography skills will also be essential for this role.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY

Graphics and Graphic Design skillsLogo Design and Branding skillsTypography skillsProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Canva (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlinesStrong communication and collaboration skillsBachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related fieldExperience in the field of graphic designKnowledge of current design trends and techniquesWorking with internal teams to gather materials/ information for social media postingsUpdating some web content as neededAll other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS AND IDEAL CHARACTERISTICS

A minimum of 1-3 years of related experienceAbility to think creatively and translate ideas into graphic designs.Strong attention to detail.Ability to meet short deadlines, work in a fast-paced environment, and coordinate with various teams, departments, and divisions.Self-starter with the ability to work independently, as well as a valuable member of a team.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
