Position SummaryResponsible for managing communications on behalf of HLK clients as well as, internal communications. The PR Manager will also interface with clients and internal teams to move projects through the agency with the highest degree of efficiency and success – both from a creative and business standpoint. Ultimately, the agency’s goal is to help its clients achieve their business objectives through innovative thinking and flawless execution. This role will s erve as the day-to-day point of contact for various clients to develop and implement PR strategies for campaigns, launches and editorial calendars. The PR Manager will support analysis and reporting, identifying actionable and integrated insights that influence marketing decisions and budgets. The person in this role will create and manage strategic communications plans including strategy, goals, budget, tactics and measurement.Responsibilities

Analyzes all media coverage of the organization and drafting appropriate responsesDevelop media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media for clients and for the agencyWorks with the social media team to share earned media content and create a content calendarCreate content for press release, byline articles, talking points and keynote presentationsManage media inquires and interview requestsOrganizes and staffs promotional events such as media days, trade shows and conferencesProduces content for speeches, events, etc.Follows industry trends affecting clients and makes appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding themPrepares and maintains status reports and other documentationInterfaces and coordinates with all agency functions/departmentsQualifications

Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications or related fieldMinimum of five years of public relations or communications experienceProven track record designing and executing successful public relations campaigns at both local and national levelSolid experience with social media including blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc.Strong attention to detailExceptional written and verbal communication skillsStrong independent decision-making, organization, planning and problem-solving skillsSelf-motivated and capable of managing multiple simultaneous projectsAgriculture industry experience preferredHLK is a creative and technology agency focused on understanding and changing audience behavior through deeply integrated brand experiences.
