Remote within the Continental U.S., and must be able to work Monday-Friday 12-4 pm Eastern Time. was founded to end the immoral practice of governments’ using fines and fees to profit off the most vulnerable. We empower state and local efforts to end fees in the justice system and ensure that fines are fair and equitably imposed.Over the last six years, FFJC has achieved over 20 legislative victories and directly aided even more, authored two dozen original research and policy reports, and partnered with more than 300 organizations to advance the national fines and fees reform movement.The

Digital Media Manager

will play a pivotal role in advancing the growth of FFJC’s online presence, providing essential strategic, tactical, and creative digital support that centers FFJC’s mission and achievements as well as advocacy and legislative priorities. The Digital Media Manager will execute the organization’s digital media and email marketing strategy, spearheading immediate and long range digital media planning, content creation and analytics.Reporting to the Director of Communications, and working in collaboration with other communications team members, the Manager will also participate and advise on overarching communications strategies, including audience targeting, messaging strategy, and goal-setting/metrics.The ideal candidate brings substantial expertise operating on major digital media platforms, developing engaging written, visual and video content, a passion for online advocacy and communications, and proven ability to effectively plan and coordinate content across multiple platforms and within deadlines.Essential Responsibilities and TasksDirectly manage and create strategic content for all FFJC social media accounts including Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTubeSpearhead the creation of compelling, engaging content, working with an internal staff and overseeing external creative consultants.Produce weekly/monthly content calendar that aligns digital media platforms with brand, website, and staff events and advocacy/legislative campaigns.Oversee posting and optimize content for each channel of distribution, employing best practices and leveraging understanding of each platform.Develop strategies for content and audience diversification, including pitching strategic uses of relevant formats and mediums.Advise and oversee FFJC’s growing digital ad programWork in partnership with broader FFJC staff and external partners, including but not limited to advising on strategy and providing toolkits to support advocacy and campaigns.Direct engagement strategy, including coordination of third party validators.Compile monthly reports for all channels, including digital media impressions and growth, and make recommendations for future content strategy.Oversee FFJC’s email program, including monthly newsletter, action alerts and others.Manage updates to the FFJC website and campaign websites (End Justice Fees & Free to Drive), including working with staff and consultants to develop web specific content.Monitor digital media conversations, organization mentions, issue discussions and respond/elevate accordingly.Monitor and report on industry trends in digital media usage and engagement to inform FFJC digital media content and strategies.QualificationsAt least five years in professional communications managing digital content and social platformsBasic graphic design skills to create social, email, and web content using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite programs, or similar platformsStrong organizational skills and ability to manage several tasks simultaneously, effectively communicating on project timeline, status and resultsExperience with digital media CMS software and analytics toolsExperience with email campaigns and email outreach (MailChimp preferably)Strong written and oral communication skills, including ability to write clear, compelling copy on-deadline for different digital formats and audiences. Ability to adapt content into both breaking news and longer-term digital campaigns.Familiar with creating, editing, and managing posts and webpages on Wordpress sites.A sense of humor, and ability to work collaboratively.Nice to HaveFamiliarity with/demonstrated interest in criminal justice, economic and racial equity justice, economic and racial equity or related social justice issues.Experience in not-for-profit or philanthropyAdobe Creative Suite proficiency preferredBachelor’s degree
