The Creative Designer works within the Creative department to design visually compelling assets supporting all phases of creative campaigns. They will collaborate with internal and external global creatives to ensure a high-quality design consistent with Square Enix (SQEX) creative best practices and visual standards, delivered across a variety of channels including social media, print, packaging, owned and operated, and paid media. They have a high proficiency in design techniques as well as a passion for the SQEX brand.RequirementsDesign brand visual style guides and define Visual ID for all game franchises (key art, logo, textures, graphic devices, type, screenshots, etc.).Design presentation materials and templates.Create campaign toolkits.Execute announcement, pre-order, demo launch, and post-launch campaigns across retail/digital, physical, social media, paid media, web, and owned channels according to the campaign plan.Conduct complex image manipulation, composition, retouching, and digital compositing as necessary.Execute bespoke creative initiatives between major marketing beats to drive engagement and retention (e.g., livestreams & digital events).Understand the goals of a given project knowing the right questions to ask and collaborate with producers and directors to find answers, taking feedback gracefully.Research current and new production technologies & techniques.Performance measures: time to create assets, level of rework, high-quality creative ideas and deliverables, and familiarity with SQEX game properties.Qualification & SkillsProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.Knowledge of current design trends and techniques.Experience with packaging design and/or campaign execution is a plus.A passion for story, art, and conceptual thinking.Experience with illustration and painting.Experience in the game/entertainment industry.Understanding of the art styles of Square Enix franchises.Benefits100% Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage- with the option to add a spouse/domestic partner and children at 2% of the premium.Medical FSA (Flexible Spending Account) and Dependent Care FSA (Flexible Spending Account) to help pay for medical expenses, childcare, or adult care expenses with pre-tax dollars.Wellness programs- mental health resources, counseling, financial well-being, support for future moms, a 24/7 Employee Assistance Program hotline, and much more.Generous leave- from the start you can earn up to 25 days of PTO, we observe 13 major holidays and provide job-protected leave for life’s unexpected moments.401K auto-enrollment and employer-match contribution.Be among the first to get copies of every game title, plus receive generous discounts on thousands of games in our library.Refer our next new team member and receive a $1000 bonus.Salary Range: $70,000-$100,000
