Overview:
Receives, stores and issues materials, supplies and equipment. The Stock Expeditor administers, under minimum supervision, the restocking of nursing units on a daily basis. Demonstrates the ability to unload and unpack daily deliveries in addition to inspecting and counting freight prior to signing. Responsibilities: Takes the initiative to notify Storeroom Supervisor if any shipments are damaged in transit. Makes sure to inquire on replacement and/or returns. Effectively restocks inventory to proper locations in the storeroom upon receipt. Makes simple judgments on filling storeroom supply orders and always notifies Supervisor on overstocked areas while restocking. Qualifications: High school graduate or GED equivalent preferred. Must be able to perform repetitive tasks on a continuous basis. Some storeroom experience is desirable as well as past experience in a hospital setting. Basic computer literacy. Ability to exercise telephone etiquette.
