Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.Responsibilities for this PositionGeneral Dynamics Mission Systems is seeking a dynamic, experienced Tradeshow Event Planning Specialist to lead the planning and execution of our domestic and international tradeshows. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional organizational and communication skills and have a proven track record of managing successful tradeshows and events in the defense, aerospace, or technology sectors. The position provides an opportunity to enhance the performance and profitability of an organization that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:Plan, coordinate and execute domestic and international tradeshows from start to finish, including onsite management.Manage all aspects of tradeshows including budgeting, staffing, scheduling, logistics, shipping, booth design and branding.Work closely with marketing, sales, engineering, and business development to collect information, meet deadlines and support the strategies and goals of the business.Coordinate domestic and international shipping.Work with exhibit house to design booth layouts, and coordinate logistics such as booth construction, AV, electrical and other services.Negotiate and execute contracts for booth space and sponsorships with event organizers and vendors.Participate in yearly tradeshow budget planning, and cost-effectively manage show budgets during the year.Coordinate creative media content needs for tradeshows including booth graphics, videos and other graphics to ensure consistent branding.Ensure all trade show activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.Foster relationships with industry partners and associations to enhance General Dynamics Mission System's presence and reputation at events.Stay current with trade show best practices and emerging technologies to enhance attendee engagement and improve operational efficiency.KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Minimum 5 years' experience in tradeshow or event management and planning.Experience with domestic and international shipping, ability to handle light physical laborExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent organizational skills.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Ability to multi-task and effectively manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously.Shows initiative on assignments, exercises independent judgment, and professionally executes projects with little direction.Strong attention to detail, logistics focused.Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and potential issues in a fast-paced environment.Ability to develop new relationships and network with key contacts inside and outside the company.Highly self-motivated and results driven.Considered expert in field within the organization.Very strong understanding of the needs, strategies, and motivations of the businesses.

This position can be remote or flex, however must be in close proximity to our Scottsdale, Arizona location.Target salary range: USD $91,022.20/Yr. - USD $98,488.90/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary.
