If this sounds like you, we are excited to meet you and learn more about your talents and career goals!This is an outstanding opportunity to join a well-established remodeling firm specializing in kitchens, baths cabinetry located in downtown Chicago, IL.As Sr Designer you will be responsible for designing residential kitchen, and bath, & remodeling projects from concept through completion following the company process.We are looking forward to talking with you!Contact Wendy Cohen, CEO, PowerHouse Recruiting today!Please do NOT contact our offices directly.Responsibilities:This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity that will allow you to grow your career in delivering the design leadership coupled with client-focused service, while empowering your entrepreneurial creative spirit.Meet with prospective clients, review project scopes, design elements, and take field measurements to create designs, proposals, estimates, and timelines to meet clients' expectations.Assist clients in executing Agreements while establishing a strong client-centric relationship.Design kitchen, bath, and remodeling projects in 3D SketchUp software, from schematics to construction drawings including floorplans, elevations, custom cabinetry/millwork, electrical, and finish materials.Assist in bid estimates working with Production Manager.Assist servicing the client including site-visit, client check-ins and project documentation.Assist in ordering, deliveries, and installations.Attending, managing, and assisting in various meetings from client presentations, design selections, process logs, team staff meetings and remodeling meetings.Proactively problem-solving design issues for successful building and final completion.Communicate with clients on project performance.Coordinate end of job walk through with clients,Continue education and awareness of industry trends, new products, technologies, and forecasts, maintaining CEU as required by certifications.Attend trade shows and association meetings.Represents the team in a professional, courteous manner in serving discriminating clients.Skills for Success:Minimum 4 years' experience in designing residential projects, preferably working in a kitchen/bath design environment.An understanding of the residential construction/remodeling process, budgeting, scheduling, and project management.Bachelor's Degree in design, architecture, construction, or similar, (equivalent experience will be considered), AKBD or CKBD preferred.Computer skills using 3D SketchUp, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.Strong attention to detail with a creative mind.Excellent problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.Teamwork minded, proactive self-starter, positive attitude, and high integrityValid driver's license & transportation to make onsite project visits.Available Monday-Friday and occasion weekendsBenefits:Competitive Full-time Salary Compensation + Bonus/CommissionsEmployee BenefitsPaid HolidaysPaid VacationCompany Culture - Team basedContinued opportunities for personal learning & developmentExposure to the luxury design community, trade partners and the best resourcesOpportunity to make a design difference and career growth.Contact us today to join a team in delivering residential projects while enhancing the lives of discerning clients.Equal Opportunity Employer
