Job Title: UI/UX Designer with Engineering backgroundLocation: San Jose CAMust: Engineering BackgroundIntroduction – Job MissionThe Product Engineering group is responsible for Tool Benchmark / New engagements, Product Definition (PRD), release testing with acceptance tests, second-line support of current accounts, and Training (internal / external). The team functions as a link between R&D and customers and interacts with most of the other teams (Marketing, Field, Sales, QA, etc.); therefore this job provides a broad exposure to whole pictures of the product. PEG engineers play a key role in shaping and directing product growth and developmentAlso as a GUI product Engineer will work closely with an international, multi-disciplinary team to create highly usable products. The candidate will possess the ability to quickly grasp and distill highly complex matters into clean, understandable designs.​

He/she will be the visionary voice of the customer experience who transforms business opportunities and marketing requirements into user friendly application interface designs.Job DescriptionWork closely with product management to derive and define user requirements for Tachyon Application Center

Develop high level and detailed user flow diagrams, wireframes, storyboards, mockups and prototypes to effectively communicate interaction and functional designs

Work with developers to ensure accurate implementation of the designs

Write User Guide, Release Notes, and other documentation

Create and maintain specifications such as interface guidelines and standards across products

Translate usability test results and other user research into product design improvements

Education and Experience3 or more years of hands-on experience in semiconductor technology engineering with an emphasis on computational lithography, lithography, semiconductor processing, or related fields

In-depth research or engineering experience

Direct experience in OPC (Optical Proximity Correction), including lithography simulation, RET, or advanced mask technology is a plus

Direct software UI/UX design experience of EDA and related tools is a plus

The ideal candidate would have a knowledge of human computer interaction, user-centered design principles, Human Factors Engineering, and interaction design; a strong portfolio showing critical thinking in interaction design.

Personal SkillsStrong problem solving and innovative thinking skills

In-depth knowledge of lithography process

Quick learner and flexibility are key attributes

Intermediate / advanced software programming skills: for example, python, html, Css

Have experience in interaction design, user research and usability

Ideally with experience in interaction design, visual design, and application design,

Expertise creating process flows, site maps, wireframes, prototypes, and functional specifications

Familiar of design tools like Figma, and Photoshop

Strong conceptual skills and ability to multi-task
