The Communications Executive, Americas, in Chicago will work within Euromonitor’s Marketing-Communications department to help us take our media relations in the region to the next level. The successful candidate will ensure Euromonitor International’s message is communicated to press and stakeholders, in line with our organisational values and goals.As a member of the Euromonitor press office, you will aim high, embrace challenge and contribute to the company’s messaging, strategy and decision making.Reporting to the Senior Communications Manager EMEAI & Americas, you will:Execute media strategies for campaigns, events, products and announcements with a focus on key markets in the region: the United States of America (primary), and Brazil, Mexico and Chile (additional)Enhance the organisation’s presence in the region with a multi-faceted approach to PR, combining digital and traditional practices;Explore proactive and reactive press coverage opportunities for the company;Align with global press office team by collaborating on reactive press enquiries by working with journalists worldwide depending on location of spokespersons, press, availability of staff, etc.;Work closely with Marketing, Product, Sales, Research and Regional colleagues to drive timely publicity and organic media activities;Deal with media requests from trade, national and global press in a timely fashion;Conceive and draft written collateral, including press releases and media briefings;Work with global Communications team to establish metrics and report on performance;Align with Research, Product, Events, Content and Editorial calendars to develop a pipeline of stories and execute Comms on commercially relevant topics;Ad hoc tasks as requested by Marketing-Communications leadership across global and regional activities, events, newsletters, etc.RequirementsWhat we’re looking for from you:Minimum of 2 years experience in a media relations role, in-house or agencyFamiliarity with media databases and PR tools such as Cision desirableEfficiency in copywriting, editing and proofreadingComfortable with media monitoring and reporting on results to senior staffAwareness of PR, social media and SEO best practicesCore skills and competencies:Fluent English.
