Resp & Qualifications

PURPOSE:

This position is responsible for sales of Medicare Advantage products designed to meet the needs of the veteran population. Assessing customer needs and suggesting appropriate products, services and/or solutions. They will play a pivotal role in planning, developing, and delivering the marketing strategy for products/services that encompasses direct sales, community education and Veteran Service Organizations (VSOs).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

In partnership with leadership, builds the marketing strategy and drives the execution of Veteran Medicare Advantage product launch and partnerships, including direct sales strategy to engage potential members through outreach and warm lead follow-up. Supports multiple sales distribution channel partners to articulate product positioning and the advantages.

Promotes and sells veteran Medicare products and services to individuals or organizations (VSOs) and strategic community partners. Supports business growth by disseminating information that promotes a favorable view of the organization and its products and services around community engagement and coordination of community events.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree

Education Details: Marketing, Business or related field

Experience:

3 years professional experience in sales and marketing

Valid health insurance license(s) within the Maryland and Northern Virginia service areas

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) in the United States Navy (USN), United States Marines (USM), United States Air Force (USAF), or United States Military (USM)

Former senior enlisted personnel preferred, including E-6 (1st Class Petty Officer) to E-8 (Senior Chief)

Health plan (i.e., Medicare Advantage) experience, preferably in the state of Maryland or Northern Virginia with knowledge of regional nuances

A minimum of 3-5 years of successful sales experience in the healthcare space (e.g., health plan, broker, medical device, and prescription drugs)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES (KSAs):

Possess excellent oral and written communication skills strong client interface and presentation skills are preferred.

Knowledge of marketing principles, such as web advertising, performance and direct response marketing.

Ability to work independently and make recommendations and decisions autonomously.Salary Range: $61,920 - $100,620
