If you have the required skill set, education requirements, and experience, please click the submit button and follow the next steps.SummaryThe Writer will work closely with Proposal Managers and other staff including Capture Managers, Program/Operations Directors, Writers/Editors, and other personnel to develop compliant federal proposals. The Writer must have strong communication, organizational, and desktop publishing skills. An understanding of computer applications and general knowledge of the Shipley proposal process is preferred.

Essential Functions

Supports the Proposal Manager during the entire proposal lifecycle, provides configuration management, prepares proposal documents, meets required deadlines, and ensures that the final output is compliant with the RFPResponsible for integrating text and graphics into the finished copy. Compiles, organizes, and revises information from a variety of sources to generate BD documents including presentations, proposals, task order requests, Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), Final Proposal Revisions (FPRs), and Best and Final Offers (BAFOs). This includes coordination of all proposal data and production efforts to produce high quality documents for all color team reviewsProvides desktop publishing and formatting throughout the process and is responsible for implementing proposal format based on style guides and the proposal planResponsible for working with proposal team to produce graphics in response to customer requirements. Resume must reflect graphic design and art skills. Candidate may aid in the development of website, marketing materials, brochures and presentations.Works independently and as part of the proposal team to develop and edit graphics for use in proposals and other marketing I media projects and business. This role will work closely with key stakeholders and participate in creative strategy to graphically illustrate highly technical and complex concepts.May support writing activities and provide copy edits as assigned for various proposal sections to improve overall readability, correct grammar/punctuation, fix spelling and syntax issuesMaintains general proposal files/folders including project descriptions, resumes, written proposal sections, graphics, and related templatesSchedules conference room space and makes certain that all materials needed for meetings including presentations, agendas, conference lines/equipment, badges, food, and related needs are handledEnforces security procedures throughout and controls access to electronic files; prepares document comparisons; develops and manages data calls to teaming partners, assists with the preparation of questions and other correspondence to the Government; takes meeting notes and distributes to the team; and may manage proposal collaboration sites using SharePointMay support competitive research and perform simple writing tasks (i.e., First draft resume and past performance elements) and other duties as assigned

Physical Demands

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. We offer a hybrid remote work environment, and typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening and weekend hours as required by business need.

Experience

Minimum 5-7 years of DoD/Federal Government proposal experienceStrong background in IT and Cyber proposalsStrong desktop publishing and formatting experience a mustMust be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat ProfessionalEducation

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or in related field preferred

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Proficient in Microsoft SharePoint and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and In Design)Customer service oriented and able to work independently with minimal supervisionProactive individuals with strong attention to accuracy and detail desiredAbility to work late and weekend hours as necessaryGeneral knowledge of the Shipley proposal process is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The expected compensation range for this position is $90,000.00-$101,000.00 per year.
