Senior Manager, Graphic DesignJob description:Summary/Objective:As part of the Content Team, the Senior Graphic Designer [KS1] will apply art, design and copy layout skills to create visually engaging concepts such as logos, promotional and branding materials, social media [KS2] and other print and digital materials for USA Football and National Teams. This candidate must be an organized individual who demonstrates a high level of technical ability. They must be a strong problem solver and have an ability to clearly communicate their design decisions to support a wide range of strategic initiatives for our brand.[KS3]

Essential Functions:

Collaborates with client, editorial staff, manager, art director and/or other project participants to understand project assignment, audience and intended message.Creates original visual media that communicates the desired feeling or message in an engaging and unified way across all medias including social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube).Understand the latest social media trends (sports, pop culture, fashion, music, art and entertainment), social media platform updates and emerging technologies to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of our visual content.Work alongside social media, video production, internal departments (including but not limited to U.S. National Teams, Partnership, Marketing, Events, Membership & Affiliation, and Education teams) to develop extensive content plans.Strong understanding of design theory including principles such as composition, color, and typography.Chooses graphics and photography, as appropriate to the audience.Help create, evolve and develop brand identity and visual standards.Work within the brand standards of USA Football to create layouts that reinforce brand style and voice across various visual touchpoints.Constantly develop skills and explore new creative techniques and emerging technologies.Ability to develop motion graphics from scratch and/or existing files.Selects fonts for written copy; produces sample layout for approval by business owners or other project participants.Prepares drafts of design work and provides proofs to appropriate staff or departments for review.Revises projects as necessary based on collaborative feedback process.Consults with Senior Manager of Graphic Design, directors, other designers, brand managers and/or other team members as needed on complex or specialized projects.Lead projects and support designers with creative feedback.Help Quality Assure at times on projects to make sure the design meets brand standards.Strong understanding of the print process, mostly large signage and book layout.Design across a range of large and small-scale projects, including signage for events, promotions, logos, emails, social, books and resource guides.Prepares print orders and assembly instructions on notification of final approval.Color correction and photo retouching.Ability to complete projects on tight deadlines with an attention to detail in designs, while managing multiple jobs in a fast-paced environment.Consistently take initiative to complete tasks and projects with limited supervision.Performs other related duties as assigned.Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Required Skills and Experience:

Strong portfolio demonstrating creative skills and experience designing, including for social media platforms.Bachelor's degree preferred; major or significant coursework in Art, Graphic Design or related disciplines preferred.At least 5 years of related work experience highly preferred.Previous experience working in a sports organization or with sports-related brands is a plus.Passion for football and understanding of sports culture preferred.Must be able to prioritize jobs and multi-task.Excellent communication and collaboration skills and able to participate openly in a collaborative environment, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.Problem solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions.Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, After Effects) and any other design software.Experience in using project management software and processes.Must be thorough with attention to detail.Web design, CSS/HTML helpfulAs required by the Equal Pay Transparency Act, USA Football provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, education, etc. The pay range for this position is as follows: $46,431 - $74,169

This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program. Must meet requirements.

Supervisory Responsibility:

We offer a competitive salary and benefits. Salary range: $46,431-$74,169, commensurate with experience, education, and skills.
