We are hiring Business Intelligence Engineers and experienced data and analytics professionals to join our Prime Video and Studios, Content Analytics and Products team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team at an early, high growth stage and have ownership of tools and strategy that will allow the business to scale within our fast-growing studio. This an exciting time to be working in the television and film industry.

As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams often including (finance, production, technology, data and software engineering). Our engineers create automated and scalable analytical tools that will ultimately be critical in driving the growth and expansion of the business.

Day-to-day responsibilities include building the infrastructure for regular reporting on business and production financial data, providing consumer insights and content analytics, and diving deep to uncover insights that will impact financial decisions. You will leverage data to provide key data-driven recommendations, enable new analyses, and innovate on behalf of our business customers.

Key job responsibilities

· Own, design, develop, document, and manage scalable solutions for new and ongoing reports, analyses, data pipelines, and dashboards to support business needs.

· Generate actionable insights through the development of metrics, dashboards and deep dive analyses.

· Serve as a technical, business-metrics specialist and insight provider in the organization.

· Act as a key interface between our internal business customers and technical teams.

· Leverage extensive data sets to derive strategic insights that shape business decisions on content spend and studio investments.

· Present insights to senior stakeholders in creative development, finance, production, technology and marketing.

· Work in a fast paced, global environment, across various functional teams.

A day in the life

Create and manage automated and scalable analytical tools to drive the growth and expansion of the business. Partner with cross-functional teams to present on business and production financial data, providing consumer insights and content analytics. Engineer new solutions, enhance existing ones, provide key data-driven recommendations, enable new analyses, and innovate on behalf of our business customers.

About the team

The Prime Video Content Analytics & Products team is dedicated to developing software and business intelligence products that streamline the process of planning, configuring, and tracking content launches at every stage of the title lifecycle, from the initial concept through production to post-launch analysis.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field

3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience

Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines

Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling

Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools

Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field

5+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience

Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

Experience writing complex SQL queries

Proven ability to independently work effectively in a cross-functional, fast paced environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
