Responsibilities

Position reports to the VP- Chief Clinical Informatics Officer, or delegate. Primary contact responsible for planning/coordinating/implementing/deployment of Epic Special Updates (SUs), major version upgrades to all Epic clients and environments, Epic programs, such as gold stars, honor roll, and new modules or applications as assigned. Ensure third-party applications that integrate with Epic are viable. Oversee changes/requests that impact the Epic environment, including environment refreshes, pauses, and disaster recovery tests, etc. Coordinate/schedule resources for validation/testing in EPIC environments. Identify and communicate issues/risks to Leaders to resolve/mitigate. Identify and implement opportunities to improve the management of the Epic Environment and special updates/upgrades process. Oversee other projects as assigned, including major and minor projects, teams, committees, task forces, and system build activities for new application/module implementations. Responsible for definition, project planning, timeline, scheduling, etc. Work in conjunction with other members of the DHS and operations departments including the Enterprise Project Management Office as needed, on projects relating to new application implementations and/or optimizing existing applications.

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or combination of equivalent education and experience with Hospital Information system applications such as Physician Documentation, CPOE, Physician encounter coding, Provider workload management, Medication Reconciliation, Prescription Writing and other physician related software applications required.Position requires the ability to work with end users and define customer requirements.Over five years of related work experience is required; prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred.Prior supervisory experience preferred.Prior project management and Lean/Six Sigma experience highly desirable.Demonstrated experience in successfully leading a project from initiation through closure of projects is required (including requirements gathering).Strong project management skills including team management, problem-solving, facilitation, attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication skills and a sense of urgency balanced with good interpersonal, organizational, conflict resolution and leadership skills are required.Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Teams, and ServiceNow ITBM is preferred.Must obtain Epic certification in two or more applications within 2 years.Epic certification in at least two Epic applications within two years of employment. PMP certification is preferred.Previous experience with managing Epic upgrade process requiredMust be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

Pay Range

USD $104,353.60 - USD $167,585.60 /Yr.
