The New York Philharmonic connects with millions of music lovers each season through live concerts in New York and around the world, as well as broadcasts, recordings, and education programs. After returning to a transformed David Geffen Hall in October 2022, the Orchestra has a renewed commitment to building on a 180-year-old legacy of excellence by serving as a platform for today’s creators and connecting with our communities. In the 2023–24 season the NY Phil marks Jaap van Zweden’s farewell season as Music Director, and features 14 World, US, and New York Premieres, a celebration of the centennial of our famous Young People’s Concerts, and more. In February 2023 the New York Philharmonic announced the appointment of Gustavo Dudamel as the Orchestra’s next maestro, to begin as Music and Artistic Director in 2026–27, after serving as Music Director Designate in 2025–26.

Email Marketing

to join the Marketing team. This position will work closely with the Associate Director, Loyalty Marketing and Audience Insights to develop email strategies and execute email campaigns. The ideal candidate has strong writing skills and a passion for classical music, and is detail-oriented, organized, and resourceful.

Responsibilities include:

Develop email marketing campaigns, including planning, producing, routing, executing, reporting, and optimizing while aligning with overall Marketing goals.Create emails that fit brand standards through imagery, tone, and overall execution in close collaboration with the Brand area.Measure key performance indicators, ensuring email campaigns are accurately tracked.Strive to optimize campaign performance using A/B testing, segmentation strategies, and other methods.Work to continuously improve all email marketing metrics, including deliverability, opens, clicks and revenue.Manage the email schedule and review process with consideration for other departments and stakeholders.Stay up-to-date with email service provider updates and industry trends, making recommendations to optimize email campaign performance when appropriate.Manage CRM and email service provider databases, including creating and updating lists and segmenting data for targeted cross-channel marketing campaigns.Support Associate Director, Loyalty Marketing and Audience Insights with relevant reporting needs as they arise.Occasional assistance with on-site Marketing events and activations.Commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment.Miscellaneous duties as assigned.Requirements:

Experience in email marketing using an email service provider and email campaign management tools. Tessitura and/or Prospect2 experience preferred but not required. Some experience with HTML, Office Suite, and Canva preferred, as well as the ability to learn technical systems and in-house tools quickly. Excellent organization and prioritization skills. Strong communication skills with keen attention to detail. Copy writing and editing skills preferred. (Candidates selected for an interview will be asked to provide a writing sample.) Knowledge of classical music repertoire preferred but not required.
