Assistant General Manager - Sales, Boutique Yoga Studio

Reports to:

General Manager and Owner

COMPANY OVERVIEW:

At YogaSix, we believe that everyone deserves the mind-body experience of yoga. Established in 2012, YogaSix is the fastest-growing boutique yoga company in the United States. We offer six different class types designed to empower, encourage, and make yoga fun for students of all levels.

POSITION:

As the Assistant General Manager, you will support oversight of our YogaSix studio in Ocean Township, NJ, to ensure it is well-maintained and uphold our high customer service standards. Your responsibilities will encompass Sales and Lead Generation, Community Outreach, and training and direct supervision of Wellness Advisors (sales staff).

Our studio offers training and coaching support for the Assistant General Manager, including training team members on overcoming objections, finding leads in your community, and operations procedures. Thus, you will not be “left out on your own” but have a flexible, solid foundation to work from.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

3+ years of service sales or fitness sales experience

Successful experience in supervising and leading teams

Proven track record in lead generation and follow-up

Confidence in generating sales and training team members in sales techniques

Proficiency with computers and Studio software, and reviewing KPIs and reports to inform you of the trends occurring with sales

Ability to manage and optimize all revenue streams, including memberships, retail, and teacher training

Proficiency in English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong customer service orientation

Adaptability in a fast-changing and diverse environment

Ability to identify areas for improvement and exercise sound judgment

Solid writing and grammar skills

Highly organized with data management skills, prioritization, and meeting deadlines

Professionalism, punctuality, reliability, and attention to detail

Trustworthiness with the ability to handle confidential information

Collaborative and respectful approach when working with colleagues, clients, and the public

Calm and professional demeanor, even when handling challenging situations

DUTIES:

Lead Generation, Membership Sales, and Retention

Management and growth of all revenue streams, including Memberships, Retail, and Teacher Training

Management of Studio's CRM system- ClubReady

Oversight of studio budget, spending, and reporting software

Development and execution of a marketing plan focused on client acquisition, activation, retention, and loyalty

Plan and participate in Grassroots Marketing partnerships to drive new guest traffic

Collaboration with Studio Owner and Lead Teachers to optimize class schedules

Recruitment, hiring, training, supervision, coaching, and mentoring of studio staff

Management of maintenance issues, inventory, and cleanliness

Active participation in studio, regional, and company-wide meetings and trainings

Close collaboration with Studio Owner and National Sales Director to ensure the studio's health and profitability

Management of social media presence

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The role may require:

Work hours exceeding 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week, including nights and weekends, especially during peak activity periods.

Sitting or standing for extended periods

Reaching with hands and arms

Bending, lifting, kneeling, and driving a car

Climbing stairs (elevators may not be available at all locations)

Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds

Specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus from frequent computer work and blue-light

Effective hearing in person and via telephone

Pay:

From $45,000.00 per year, plus healthy Monthly bonus plan
