with projects spanning the entire bay area. We are seeking a

seasoned Senior Designer

who wishes to be part of a team environment. The Senior Designer is central to the success of our firm and must have excellent interpersonal, and communication skills in order to effectively collaborate and lead a design team for larger projects from concept to completion. You must be adept at managing multiple project timelines, deadlines and be responsive and flexible with a can-do attitude.

Your top skills should include time management, organization, problem solving, creativity, and leadership. The right candidate will have a minimum of 9-12 years experience managing interior design projects within a residential interior design firm.Responsibilities:Work with Principal and design team to manage and execute projects from design stage through completion based on Principal's vision and expectations.Estimate hours for new projectsCreate and manage budgets meticulously - a must!Create and manage project timeline to completionResponsible for meeting or exceeding the financial goals established for projectsMentor Associate and Jr. DesignersOversee and review all design to ensure KHI consistency and qualitySelect or manage the selection of all finishes and furnitureWork with the design team to prepare for client presentations by creating mood boards, floorplans, drawings and elevations.Read architectural plans and produce scaled drawings and room layouts.Read architectural plans and create full elevation sets and lighting plans.Research new products and materials to keep our designs uniqueManage all follow up details, organize meeting notes, project status, deliverables, etc.Oversee the architectural design for each projectReview, edit and approve drawings done by other team membersUnderstand and anticipate the technical implications of design decisionsFacilitate design review and construction planning meetingsManage project workflow and completion of design tasks to meet deadlines accurately - a must!Coordinate accurate preparation of project construction documents and details ensuring quality control and completionManage relationships and interface with clients, vendors, architects, contractors, and sub-contractors in a professional and respectful mannerAbility to manage a team through strong leadership, effective communication, collaboration, motivation, mentorship and respect toward all team membersConduct site inspections to ensure conformance to design specificationsDesign custom cabinetry, built-ins and custom furnitureExpertly manage client expectations and internal team communication - a must!Be a team player and manage the Interior Design team effectivelyTakes personal responsibility for continuous learning & has desire to stay current on new trends, vendors, innovations and productsContribute to the firm in a manner that continues to elevate our relationships, work and styleHave a positive, friendly, professional attitude and a good sense of humorRequirements:Degree in interior design or interior architecture from a US accredited schoolMIN
