As a Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be a key contributor to the design and development of cutting-edge mechanical solutions. Your expertise in equipment and fixture design, along with your strong background in mechanical engineering, will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality and innovative products.

You will have the opportunity to lead and drive the mechanical design process, ensuring the delivery of reliable and efficient solutions. Your technical knowledge and leadership skills will inspire and motivate the team to achieve exceptional results. You will report directly to our AME Director or supervisor and you'll work out of our Raleigh, NC location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the development of mechanical solutions that meet the needs of our customers. By leading and driving the mechanical design process, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality and reliable equipment and fixtures. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and define mechanical requirements and specifications will enable seamless integration with other components and systems, enhancing the overall performance and functionality of our products.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and drive the mechanical design process, from concept to production

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define mechanical requirements and specifications

• Design and develop innovative equipment and fixtures

• Perform mechanical analysis and simulations to ensure product performance and reliability

• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers

• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies

MUST HAVE:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

• 6+ years of experience in mechanical design and development

• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and methodologies

• Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools

• Experience with mechanical analysis and simulation tools

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
